Criteria for Choosing a Hostel
So MK is kind enough to book our hostels while I'm at work because I can't seem to get away from the partners for long enough to do some research. She came across this gem of a listing for Galway:
- "Claddagh Hostel is a small 40 bed hostel in the heart of Galway. It is located just off Eyre Square and 1 minute from the Train and Bus station. Unlike the larger hostels, this has a warm intimate friendly feel to it where everybody knows everybody.
- It has 3 dorm rooms and a number of small twin rooms ( WITH BUNK BEDS ).It is well run, clean and friendly and you are sure to have a good time and make new friends here.
- We offer a large fully equipped kitchen as well as a cosy living room where you can chill out and read books from our large selection of reading material.
- Our internet cafe is free of charge and so is tea and coffee all day long.
- If you are moving to Galway we can give you advice on employment as well as helping you find appartments, how to get your PPS Number and how to set up your bank account.
- Tarrot Card Readings are available every Monday, ask for Vlad at reception.
- Weekly rate is available for only €70.00 per week from October to Feburary. Ask at reception for details.
- Free Internet, Free breakfast, Free tea/ coffee , Free map of Galway, Free events guide, Free night club passes, Free €1 off pint vouchers, Free movies every night......
- Twin Rooms have a bunk bed ( 1 bed above the other ) and most have a wash hand basin and a mirror inside."

Hey. I just saw your blog on the list of recent updates. I did summer school in Ireland when I was in HS and it was the best time of my life. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. It's sure to be great craic. ;)
